Summer Game – Spring 1872

Clashes in the Yellow Sea as the Japanese halt Russian advances towards Korea. Meanwhile, the Empire breaks through Chinese lines in the Himalayas with British help and continue advancing into the rapidly unraveling Ottoman territories. The French betray their one-time British allies, seizing Hong Kong while supporting the Dutch in pushing the British out of the East Indies.

Again, sorry about the delay. Moves due on Monday, 6PM EST (3PM PST).

Summer Game – Fall 1871

Russians, Japanese, Chinese exchange fire; while Russians forced out of Korea, a communications error leaves Vladivostok in their hands as both Peking and Shanghai fall to the advancing Tsarists. The Himalayas become a battleground as the Russians and British fail to advance through the heavily defended Chinese flank. The French and British attempt to cooperate to take down the Dutch, but wily moves by the barely-afloat VOC manage to steal Singapore from under their feet as the southern Philippines are captured. Meanwhile, the Ottomans begin to collapse in the face of pressure from both the Russians and British. The Japanese, while temporarily pushed back in Siberia, start to amass fleets in the western Pacific while securing a perimeter around the home islands. The French, once thought not a threat, become a major power with the 3rd most supply points.

Build moves due Wednesday, noon EST. Sorry about the delay this time.

Summer Game – Spring 1871

Dutch retake Java Sea, blockade Singapore while reinforcements from the Raj arrive! Ottomans barely hold off Russians in the west and English in south, dig deeper into Persia in the east! Trouble brews on the Tibetan Plateau! Japanese fleets move out, forming wall around the home islands!

With regards to the situation in Siberia, I personally find it pretty hard to resolve: both IRK and MON should lose in 2v1s while also winning their battles; unfortunately, units can’t switch, which leads to a bigger issue. If someone can figure out a way to resolve it that follows the rules other than both units not moving, let me know, but until then it’s going to stay like this. Moves due Monday, as usual.

Summer Game – Fall 1870

Chinese forced out of Manchuria, but manage to cut off Trans-Siberian Railroad past Irkutsk in their retreat! Japanese expand sphere of influence, capturing outlying islands and South Korea! While Ottomans begin gains in Egypt and Persia, Russians advance through Romania! British begin to try to unify disparate territories, capturing Sudan, Sumatra, and heading towards Middle East. Meanwhile, French nearly double number of supply points despite precarious position.

China was forced to retreat (shown in gray), but there was only one province to retreat to, so I just sent the army there since there was no other option. If there is more than one option, I’ll contact the player(s) and ask. Build moves due Wednesday.

Summer Game – Spring 1870

Tensions rise with clashes in Indochina between Chinese, French, British! The Russians invade Korea! British make aggressive moves towards the Middle East, Dutch make gambit in eastern India Ocean while main territory threatened by British fleet!

Blue arrows are support, red ones are moves. If anyone does a convoy, that will be in green.
